The Family Birthday...

Continuing with our backwards blogging... Before we left Washington we were able to have a birthday party for Isaiah with lots of family. When we made the decision to become missionaries we realized that one of the hard parts of our new life would be not being around family for the big events in life. That's why we felt so blessed to be able to celebrate Isaiah's second birthday "near" home (at Chuck E. Cheese's in Burlington) with Grandpa & Grandma, Nana & Papa, both Grandma Great's, and lots of cousins & aunts & uncles. God has given us so much more than we could have ever asked for in such a great family, and so far we've been able to see them more than most missionaries are able to- and we're very thankful for that.

Isaiah was so excited to be out of a hotel room, out of a car seat, wearing a crown, and just having the freedom to run!

One of Isaiah's favorite gifts was a John Deere tractor & trailer from Uncle Britt and Auntie Shana. After two weeks on the road, he was thrilled to have something new to play with.
