Ross got back from Pittsburgh on Monday night, emptied his luggage, tried to get caught up with work and follow up from the first Pittsburgh Weekend to Remember conference, and now we are re-packing so that tomorrow morning we can all head out together for the second Pittsburgh conference. One of the biggest highlights of the first conference was when a lady jotted down a prayer request on Saturday morning saying "we will probably be the couple that doesn't make it through this weekend..." Ross reminded the team of the story of the woman who said "If I could just touch Jesus' coat, I would be healed..." Jesus reply was "take heart daughter, your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed. In a way, a person scribbling a prayer request on a little piece of paper is showing similar faith. We began to fervently pray that God would turn around the hopeless situation. The rest of the weekend was tough, but good, and the speakers seemed to have just the perfect mix of humor, biblical truth, and personal illustration that had the whole crowd laughing, crying, and really taking a look at areas of their own life that they need to surrender completely to God. When the conference closed, that same lady passed along her simple yet profound comments. "It gave me HOPE." And that made it all worthwhile.

When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you're slamming the door in the face of God. ~Charles Allen
