Who say’s deep truths about God have to be long? Those 5 words come from James 4:6, and we've been reminded of the truth of it over and over again this week. If you read that text in The Message, it goes on to say “So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he'll be there in no time.”
Here's a great song that has helped us put it into perspective as well (also conveniently translated for all the Dutch speakers who read our blog):

Alright, now that we've shared our uplifting thought for the week, it's back to work for us. We've had so much on our plate these past few weeks and the week coming up really could be one of the busiest weeks of the year for us! In addition to that, we've GOT to get a Prayer Letter written, folded, stuffed, stamped, and mailed before the end of the week. There's always so much to write about (God is constantly at work in huge ways all around us), but we've just got to take the time to get it on paper. So, I hereby decree that there will be no blogging until the Prayer Letter is complete. Starting Now. Okay, starting now...

There are a few songs that leave me "speechless"...and this is one of them. Thank you for posting it. It reminds me of His infinite grace and amazing love everytime I hear it. I have needed to listen to it many, many times over this past week. We love you Ross, Taya, our sweet little Isaiah and "baby" =)
