How it will end...

Today has been a bit of a crummy day.

Have you ever found yourself in the middle of an intense book or even a movie, and all of a sudden you're thrown a real curveball- something you just didn't see coming? Whenever I'm in a situation like that I find that I just can't stand the suspense for very long. If you're anything like me, you skip ahead a few chapters to the end of the book- not to spoil it, but just to make sure everything turns out alright in the end. I've even been known to pause a movie and go to the "chapters" index to see if the hero is still in the final scenes of a movie ("The Kite Runner" was the last one I did that on, and I'm happy I did).

Anyways, I think God knew that about us. And although I'm just not really fascinated with "end-times, armageddon, etc.," I am so thankful that God let's me flip to the end of the story. Just like a good movie, I don't really care when it ends, I just care how it ends. Spoiler Alert: In case you haven't read ahead yourself, here's how it ends: The Hero saves the day, the pain and suffering will end, and the rightful King will reign forever. There will be a praise song that continues day after day and night after night, singing "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty—the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come." (kind of sounds like the makings of a sequel? sorry, that was a bad joke).

Those words from the praise song that will last forever are also repeated in one of our favorite worship songs at church lately. We like to sing it at the top of our lungs in church, in the van, at home, on the ipod- wherever. It's even Isaiah's favorite song right now. Feel free to worship along with us, it will be good practice for eternity.

Don't you wish you could come to church and sing along with us? I could sing a song like that day and night.

Well, not only do we love the worship and teaching times at our church, but we also love some of the fun that they have (even at their own expense). This clip has nothing to do with eternity or heroes saving the day, but it is fun and I think there will be plenty of that in heaven too. If you're a fan of "The Office", you'll love "The Church Office". Enjoy:

Ok, that was an "emotional" rollercoaster !!! =) I worshipped and cried along with the first clip and then laughed until I cried on the second clip. I know that "The Office" is one of your favorites, son...but, I've never watched it...not ever..., but maybe I'll start =)
Please thank your church for the smiles and laughs. No matter what we do, God can use it.
Love you all to the moon and stars
